Frequently Asked Questions about QR Music Cards
What do I need to play the game?
For the best gaming experience you need the following:
- A box with QR Music Cards
- The free QR Music Cards app
- The Spotify app (with a Premium subscription)
And don't forget: a few friendly people to play with. Without an audience, guessing is just so quiet.
How exactly does it work?
You take a card, scan the QR code, and immediately hear a snippet of a song. Guess the song, check the answer, and score points! explanation page There are various game modes. You can also make your own rules or mix things up.
Is it difficult?
That's up to you. Choose easy mode for a relaxed game, or go pro if you want something more intense. This way, it's fun for everyone: from occasional singers to music fans.
Do I need a Spotify subscription?
While our app seems to work well even without a Spotify Premium subscription, we recommend using Spotify Premium. This way, the music plays instantly and without interruptions.
Where do I download the app?
The QR Music Cards app is free to download for iPhone and Android. Click below to go directly to the appropriate store:
It's a piece of cake. Just download the app, add the cards, and you're ready to play.
Is it suitable for children?
There isn't currently a suitable edition for young children, but one is coming – we expect a proper kids' edition in the fourth quarter of 2025.
For older children and young people, the Tens and Twenties editions fun: recognizable hits from past years, perfect for teens and twenty-somethings.
How many people can you play with?
With two people or a whole group – anything is possible. Play solo, in pairs, or in teams. Ideal for home, at a party, or even in the office.
When will new editions be released?
